A holiday tradition in our house is making sausage balls.  Make them, freeze them, cook them, enjoy them!   Kickin' Sausage Balls made from pork sausage, sharp cheddar cheese, Julia's Pantry Original Sassy Dip mix and our Buttermilk Southern Drop Biscuit mix that are savory, cheesy, and ready in under 30 minutes! The perfect appetizer to serve at a party!  Serve by itself or with mustard (honey, yellow, dijon, etc.), creamy dressings, queso or warm maple syrup.

Not only are sausage balls a super easy appetizer, but can be made ahead and stored in the freezer.  Combine all of the ingredients,  roll into balls and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper and allow to freeze.  Remove frozen balls and store in a freezer ziplock bag until ready to cook.  When ready to cook, place on lightly greased baking sheet (or one lined with parchment paper) and bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 - 30 minutes until golden brown.

RECIPE:  KICKIN' SAUSAGE BALLS

1# Broadbent's Smoked Country Sausage

10oz package of Julia's Pantry Southern Drop Biscuit Mix

1 pkg of Julia's Pantry Original Sassy Dip Mix

2 cups of Finely Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Combine all ingredients either by hand or in a food processor, roll into balls and place on a lightly greased baking sheet or line with parchment paper, and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.  Serve with mustard, creamy dressing, queso or maple syrup.
