Chapel Hill is a town in North Carolina. It’s home to a campus of the University of North Carolina, which is known for its basketball team, and a diversified curriculum that has a course of study for almost anyone.

While in Chaple Hill you must experience the Morehead Planetarium that is known for it’s amazing live demonstrations and shows.

Franklin Street is filled with quite coffee shops and fun restaurants, all revolving around a fun college campus. It is a fun place to be. Chapel Hill is a warm, quaint, and safe town with excellent schools for the kids and a fun night life for the college students.

Chapel Hill, History & Culture

Chapel Hill, town, Orange county, central North Carolina, U.S., about 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Durham and some 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Raleigh; with these two cities it constitutes one of the state’s major urban areas, the Research Triangle.

In 1819, the town was founded to serve the University of North Carolina and developed around it. The town was chartered in 1851, and its main street, Franklin Street, was named in memory of Benjamin Franklin. In 1969.
