DESIGNS 89

Hey all! My name is Jenn and I'm the owner of Designs 89!

I officially opened Designs 89 in October of 2020, so we're still among the new kids on the block! The inspiration for my company came from a deep love of crafting, and also a love of budget-friendly items. I have made it my mission to create "adorable, yet affordable" home décor after many years of attending crafts shows with beautiful items just a tad bit over my budget for the day. We specialize in door hangers, wall plaques, tier-tray accessories, and so much more! Each item is handcrafted by a mom and daughter team who truly love each piece that we make. 

When I first opened up our store, I crashed and burned - hard. I have very "fond" memories of attending our first vendor show when it was almost 90° in November. After spending weeks preparing, I premiered a ton of Christmas items... and people were walking around in shorts eating ice cream cones. After not making a single sale, you can suffice it to say, I almost threw away my idea completely. Then I happened upon The Community Marketplace and booked one weekend event. I figured it was worth another shot and the rest is somewhat history!

Working very closely with my Mom, we have created and delivered over 1000 ornaments this Christmas that we shipped all over the country. You may remember the "I'll be home for Christmas - been here all year anyway 2020" design! We reinvest every dollar made into creating a brand and a name for ourselves, and I can proudly say we now average 100-150 orders a week online!

Every item you see at our booth can be customized and we truly love working with our customers to deliver the most "adorable, yet affordable" options around!

I am incredibly proud of our short, but awesome journey and can't wait to see what the future holds. 

A couple of fun facts about me: I'm originally from Long Island, NY. I hold a Bachelor's degree in U.S. History with a concentration in World War II foreign policy. I'm the proud mom of two super adorable kiddos you'll see running around the marketplace every Saturday! I love music, all things murder mystery, research, and crafting!
