PURPLE CREEK JEWELRY

Hello everyone! We are Jim and Beth of Purple Creek Jewelry and we would love to tell you a little bit about us and our business!

We started our business in Illinois way back in 2008. We moved to North Carolina to help support our two sons' struggles with Autism. After we made that big move, we had to start all over and reinvent our business model. We began purchasing jewelry at auctions and from individual estates, while also creating custom engagement rings and fine jewelry - this is the Purple Creek you see today!

Beth's favorite color is purple and one of her fondest memories is spending her childhood in Virginia, playing in the creeks catching crawdads and salamanders with her sisters. They would spend hours upon hours in those creeks! So in bringing two of Beth's favorite things together - Purple and Creek - BAM! The business name was born.

We make custom gold jewelry, such as engagement rings, right hand rings, and legacy jewelry. At The Community Marketplace, we sell all of our sterling silver pieces of jewelry. We have a website, www.purplecreek.com, where customers are able to access endless pre-made gift options, as well as custom fine jewelry. We also offer appraisals, consigning, and purchasing of your old and broken jewelry.

Besides a passion for all things vintage, sterling, and gold... we are also beekeepers! The golden honey that those girls create is just as delicious as the gold jewelry we sell!

Autism, in our family, is seen as a strength. Our sons have both grown into amazing geniuses, and are both well-rounded and heart-led. Nathan, our oldest, can be seen at The Community Marketplace from time to time. His giftedness is gemology. He graduated with the highest gem ID percentage in the history of GIA (Gemological Institute of America). He has found his niche in gemology!

We love how The Community Marketplace has grown into it’s “own presence”. It’s become a destination for so many of us - locals and some from a bit further away. We have been there since the beginning and are proud to be a part of it. Come see us on Saturdays under the shelter, thank you for supporting local business!
